How Ralla Uses AI to Enrich Real-World Experiences
Ralla is a platform that uses artificial intelligence to recognize, verify, and enhance real-world activities. Our goal is to help people, teams, and communities connect through shared experiences.
Our goal is to make real-world play and participation more meaningful, measurable, and fun. We are not creating new data about you beyond what’s needed to make those experiences work.
Why We Collect Information
Because Ralla connects the digital and physical worlds, it often needs to access information from your device. This includes your camera and location — to confirm what’s happening in real time.
This information is only used to:
- Verify participation in games, challenges, or events
- Verify captured images match targets or goals provided by an organizer
- Generate AI-based insights (for example, summaries or captions of submissions)
We collect only the data required to make each activity function properly.
How Your Information Is Used
All data gathered during an event is used solely for those purposes.
We verify, score, or summarize participation. We do not sell or reshare your personal data.
When an event ends, the original media (like photos or audio) are deleted unless you agree to share them with the organizer.
We do retain summaries or anonymized metrics, including, how many people joined or completed a challenge, but that does not identify you or other people at an event.
How Long We Keep It
Most data exists only during the activity itself. After an event ends, Ralla:
- Deletes original photos, entered text, and location data that are not approved by you for retention
- Keeps AI-generated summaries or aggregate statistics for up to three months to improve reporting and performance
When Sharing Happens
Participants can choose whether to share information with event organizers or sponsors.
If you opt in, they can receive:
- The content you chose to share (such as descriptions of images you submitted, answers to questions, or your descriptions), and/or
- Aggregate data like attendance counts or event summaries
This sharing never happens without your explicit approval.
Your Rights and Control
You’re always in control of the information captured and stored on the Ralla platform.
You can:
- Decline permissions such as camera, mic, or location access
- Request that we delete your data from our platform after an event even if you previously opted to share it with an organizer
