Ralla Technologies Inc. (“Ralla,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Ralla mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).
Ralla enriches in-person activities through AI-powered validation, verification, and engagement tools that interpret real-world participation against goals defined within the app.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use Ralla. By using Ralla, you agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve Ralla’s features.

a. Account and Login Information

When you create an account, we collect identifiers such as:

  • Name or username
  • Email address
  • Login credentials (stored securely and not accessible to Ralla staff)

b. Activity and Participation Data

During participation in events or activities, Ralla may collect:

  • Photos, videos, or audio you capture in the app
  • Text responses or content you submit
  • Location data (GPS or geofence) when used to verify attendance or activity completion

All such inputs are used solely for activity verification and are deleted at the end of the event or activity.

c. Summary and AI-Generated Data

Following AI processing, Ralla may retain:

  • Captions or summaries generated by AI interpretation
  • Aggregated participation metrics (e.g., attendance totals, completion rates)
    These summaries are retained for up to 3 months for reporting and quality purposes.

d. Device and Usage Data

To ensure app stability and performance, Ralla may collect:

  • Device identifiers
  • Crash or performance logs (via Firebase or similar analytics SDKs)
  • Non-personal usage data such as feature usage frequency

3. How We Use Information

Ralla uses collected data to:

  • Authenticate and manage user accounts
  • Verify and enrich participation in real-world events
  • Generate AI summaries or validation metrics
  • Provide optional analytics or reports to organizers and sponsors (with participant consent)
  • Maintain app performance and security
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Ralla does not sell your personal data. We only share information as follows:

a. With Event Organizers or Sponsors (Opt-In Only)

Participants may choose to share:

  • Their submitted content (text, images, or responses)
  • Aggregated attendance or performance summaries

b. With Service Providers and AI Partners

To enable certain features, Ralla may process data using third-party AI and cloud providers:

  • RunPod, Inc. (AI processing infrastructure)
  • Google Cloud Platform (storage, analytics, and location services)
  • OpenAI, L.L.C. (natural language and image analysis tools)

These providers act as data processors under contract and may only use information as instructed by Ralla.

c. For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety or rights of users.

5. Data Retention

  • Raw input data (photos, audio, videos) are deleted after the event concludes.
  • AI-generated summaries and participation metrics are retained for up to 3 months.
  • Account and login data are retained while the account is active or until deletion is requested.

6. User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other laws, including:

  • Access – Request a copy of your personal data.
  • Deletion – Request that we delete your data.
  • Correction – Update or fix inaccurate information.
  • Restriction or Objection – Limit certain uses of your data.

Deletion requests will be honored within the timelines required by applicable law.

7. Data Security

Ralla uses industry-standard security measures including encryption, authentication, and access control.
No system is completely secure, but we continually monitor and update our safeguards.

8. International Data Transfers

Ralla is based in the United States and processes data in the U.S. and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
By using Ralla, you consent to the transfer of information to these locations, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

9. Children’s Privacy

Ralla is intended for individuals aged 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal data without consent, please contact us at privacy@ralla.io, and we will delete it promptly.

10. App Permissions

Ralla requires explicit user consent before accessing:

  • Camera (for activity verification and photo capture)
  • Microphone (for activity submissions)
  • Photos/Media (for upload and storage during events)
  • Location (for attendance verification and event participation)
  • Contacts (for optional friend invites or team play features)
  • Notifications (for event updates and reminders)

Users may revoke these permissions at any time through device settings.

11. Third-Party Links and SDKs

Ralla may include SDKs that allow data export to organizer or sponsor analytics systems.
These SDKs operate only with user consent and are used for legitimate event-related analytics, not for advertising or tracking unrelated activities.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The updated version will be posted at https://www.ralla.io/privacy and the “Last Updated” date will reflect the latest revision.
